Dance

I am a strong believer in the intelligence of the body.  In my work as a performer, choreographer, teacher and student I strive constantly to further open myself, and those I work with, to the body's kinesthetic knowledge.  It is my firm conviction that our physical form is both an avid student and a wise teacher, if given the chance.  Furthermore, it is a tool that, when properly focused, helps us gain sensitivity and awareness that goes far beyond the body and infuses all aspects of life

I believe that learning another's movement language is inherently the process of learning another's story; their deepest yearning, suffering, and joy.  This time we live in screams out the need for deepening understanding and empathy, between both individuals and groups.  I feel that creating, sharing and learning each other's physicality is a tool that can cultivate and deepen respect, understanding and human connection.

I currently teach at Eastern Michigan University and create collaboratively with fellow artists in the region and beyond.

I am always interested in opportunities to teach, set work, develop new work, collaborate, perform and learn, so get at me!
